ACQUISITIONS · FINANCE · AI IMPLEMENTATION
I’m Drew Hyman. I help buyers evaluate acquisitions and owners improve the businesses they run—through financial leadership, strategy analysis, and hands-on AI implementation. I’m especially interested in long-term engagements with a path to becoming a part-owner.

HOSPITALITY
Financial modeling and operating systems for a catering business—a portfolio company of a private equity firm.
The private equity firm introduced me to the independent sponsor. Work spans acquisition analysis and ongoing post-close implementation.
AUTOMOTIVE
Dashboard development and strategic analysis for a luxury automotive business.
REAL ESTATE
Investment strategy and financial modeling for a real estate development firm.
TRANSACTION ADVISORY
Transaction advisory engagement in progress.

WHY STAY INVOLVED
A fee tied to closing rewards getting the transaction done. On its own, it doesn’t connect an advisor to how the business performs afterwards.
If the engagement ends at close, a buyer can inherit the spreadsheet while losing access to the assumptions and judgment behind it.
I want to carry that work forward. The underwriting becomes the operating model. The model informs cash planning, reporting, and management decisions. AI implementation then helps change how the work gets done—with the financial plan guiding what to improve and how to measure it.
SERVICES
Start with a broad strategy analysis or a specific need. The work can develop into ongoing financial leadership and implementation.
A view of the whole business.
For an existing business or a recent acquisition: step back and assess how it makes money, serves customers, and gets work done. I combine financial analysis, conversations with the team, and AI tools to identify opportunities and decide where to start.
For a business you’re considering buying: build and pressure-test the acquisition model, financing cases, and assumptions the operating plan will depend on.
For a business you own or have just acquired: turn plans into cash forecasts, reporting, and decisions. Where I’ve worked on the acquisition, the underwriting carries directly into the operating model.
For an opportunity you’re ready to act on: redesign the workflow, connect the data, build and test the tools, and help the team adopt them. We track whether the changes are useful in practice.
BACKGROUND
FAMILY OFFICE
Family office experience spanning an operating company with $2M+ in EBITDA and a real estate portfolio of $500M+ in assets.
PRIVATE EQUITY
Private equity transaction experience involving the acquisition of a vertically integrated manufacturer of cosmetics brands.
AI EVALUATION
Through third-party evaluation providers, I contribute to frontier AI evaluations for leading AI labs, covering financial modeling and how well AI agents perform real-world business tasks. Modeling work spans leveraged buyouts, roll-ups, operating businesses, and real estate acquisitions and development.
LONG-TERM ALIGNMENT
My goal is to become a part-owner in businesses where I can contribute through ongoing fractional CFO work and AI implementation. I’m open to different ownership arrangements that reflect the business, my role, and the contribution I can make.
Where there’s a fit, I’m open to discussing:
The structure and terms would depend on the business, my role, and what we agree together.
Tell me what you’re buying or running, where you are in the process, and what’s getting in the way. We can start by working out which improvements deserve attention first.
